The block on ring tester uses the classic line-contact geometry: a stationary steel block is loaded against a rotating ring immersed in the test lubricant. Load is increased stepwise through the lever-and-weight system until the lubricant film fails. The passed load (OK value) and the condition of the block surface quantify film strength and anti-wear performance per ASTM D2509 and ASTM D2782. Brushed stainless steel construction and a compact drive motor keep the machine stable, clean and easy to maintain.
