The Timken extreme pressure tester pushes lubricants to their limits. Stacked weights on the loading lever apply progressively heavier loads to the block-on-ring friction pair until the oil film breaks — revealing the true extreme pressure (EP) reserve of gear oils, engine oils and greases. Oils with genuine EP additives carry dramatically higher loads than ordinary oils, and the difference is impossible to fake. Built with a rugged black-finish cabinet, precision lever mechanism and reliable drive motor for years of heavy-duty demonstration and QC use.
